The hotel is situated in a magnificent location, conveniently close to restaurants. I enjoyed my standard quadruple room, which came with a lovely outdoor patio. Plus, it's just a short walk from the Niagara Golf Trail! 😊.

We had a fabulous time at Monte Terras Tronadora. the location was perfect, being close to major tourist attractions such as hot springs and the volcano, and even close enough for a day trip to the beach. the owners were incredibly friendly and always willing to help out with suggestions for activities. the room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was well-maintained. the breakfast, especially the pancakes, was absolutely delightful. We also enjoyed the stunning view from the property and the tranquil atmosphere.
We did notice a damp smell in the room and encountered some spiders and ants, which was slightly unsettling.

We stayed at Monte Terras for two nights as a stop between La Fortuna and MonteVerde. The room was spacious and nice, with a comfortable bed and hot water all the time. The owner, Kees, was extremely helpful and friendly, even showing us a sloth in the hotel yard. The location is great as a base camp for exploring nearby sightseeing spots, and we saw monkeys, toucans, and other wildlife while walking around. The breakfast was delicious and filling, and the pool area offered a relaxing atmosphere. We highly recommend this family-run bed and breakfast.
Would recommend this hotel.
